2018 PROJECTS

Fall 2018: WILD SHORE TRIO + ARMIN ABDIHODZIC

The Wild Shore Trio performed new flute, violin, and piano music by living composers, featuring the West-coast premiere of a new work by Homer-raised, Juilliard-trained composer and pianist Conrad Winslow. In 2013, violinist Andie Springer, flutist Katie Cox, and pianist Conrad Winslow co-founded the NYC/AK-based presenting organization Wild Shore New Music to celebrate new classical music on the Kenai Peninsula. For six consecutive seasons, Wild Shore has floored audiences with transcendent programs and thrilling virtuosity in Alaska, NYC, and Washington, D.C. Special guest, Department of Music faculty member Armin Abdihodzic, joins the trio this year to perform elegant duets by Toru Takemitsu and the Rome Prize-winning American composer Paula Matthusen.
